Robert Hobbs Annual Fun Ride

When a child has some special challenge in life it is far too easy to see them, and at the same time, sort of not see them.

Maybe it is that we feel guilty that we cannot fix whatever the situation is and partly that we feel guilty because we are thankful that our own children have not had to face similar challenges.

Downs Syndrome children especially get our attention because the very nature of the syndrome results certain physical characteristics that most of us recognize immediately.

But have you ever taken the time to get to know a child with Down's Syndrome? They are the loveliest and most loving children that you will ever meet in your life.

And don't worry, you aren't going to break them - they are a fragile piece of china - they are children who like to run and play and watch cartoons and eat ice cream and play with puppies and wish for ponies and do all the other things that any other child likes to do.

Robert Hobbs is just such a special child and Robert carries his favorites one step further - Robert LOVES motorcycles! Give him a leather jacket and put him on the back seat of a Harley and just watch his face light up. Roberts love of motorcycles has prompted his family and friends to organize the "Robert Hobbs Annual Fun Ride" as a benefit for the Downs Syndrome Founation.

If you are in Southern California you have an opportunity on Saturday, September 8th to "go ahead, make his day" and at the same time to participate in a benefit for the the Downs Syndrome Foundation.

There are many children and their families who benefit from the efforts that the Foundation supports. Come on out and support them and if you have, or know, a child with Downs Syndrome feel free to bring them to the event also. They will have a good time and it will be a special day that YOU will always treasure.
